We’re a small online business, and for a while now a good part of our day-to-day work has been handled by Grok Bot. Grok Bot gives you “Bots”: AI teammates with names, jobs and memory that work on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal. This is our honest take on what that’s like, with no made-up numbers.

What our bots actually do

  • A bot drafts and publishes blog posts, including this kind of article, and other bots check its work before we share it.
  • Bots help us answer customer emails and keep track of open cases.
  • A bot helps with bookkeeping and pulls together reports when we ask.
  • A bot helps write and update product listings.
  • One bot acts as a coordinator, passing work to the others and keeping us in the loop.
  • Routines run recurring jobs on a schedule, like daily check-ins, so we don’t have to remember to ask.

What we like

  • Setup is a message. You describe the job in plain language and grant access when the bot asks.
  • Bots work with each other. They can message each other and share context in group chats, so we’re not copying things between tools.
  • Context sticks. A named bot keeps its memory, files and browser sessions across sessions.
  • Work keeps going while our laptops are closed, and the same bots are on desktop, iPhone and Android.
  • Risky steps wait for us. Bots come back for approval before things like sending or posting.

What to watch for

  • Usage is a weekly pool, and big multi-step jobs use more of it. Start small and scale up.
  • You still need to review the work. Other bots and a person check anything before it goes public.
  • Some sites have no app connection, so bots use the browser, and you sometimes need to sign in for them.

Can you try it free?

  • Free trial through a referral link: friends invited with a referral link get a 2-week (14-day) free trial of X Premium, which includes Grok Bot. A credit card is required, nothing is charged at checkout, and you get a reminder before the first charge. Cancel before the 14-day trial ends to avoid a charge (referral terms).
  • Free and Plus plans don’t include Grok Bot. On The X Subscription, Grok Bot is included on Premium, Super and Ultra (source).
  • Separately, Grok Bot’s own in-app trial is a usage credit (with a 7-day window). That one never turns into a paid plan. The 2-week referral trial does renew automatically unless you cancel (source, referral terms).

If you want to try it, our referral link starts the 2-week Premium trial.
